Camp Features and FAQs

CAMP FEATURES
** Use of the Marist School's outstanding facilities including nearly 3 miles of running trails, a Mondo-surface track and runways, 2 throwing rings and 'active' oval.
** Off-campus runs at local parks less than 1 mile away for distance runners
** Outstanding coaches, counselors and runners on staff, from both college and high school programs, to work directly with the athletes
** Educational breakout sessions on nutrition, pacing, high school track and field and cross country running in Georgia, competing in college and training theories

FAQs
WEATHER
The War Eagle Camp is held primarily outdoors with educational sessions held indoors.  Camp will be held rain or shine.

WHAT TO WEAR

Campers should dress in comfortable, athletic clothing and must wear proper running shoes.  A towel and change of clothes is recommended for the hot, humid weather.

WHAT TO BRING

A water bottle, running watch and bag for towel and change of clothes is recommended along with a great attitude, willingness to learn and ask questions.  You will be advised in advance if swimming gear is needed. 

IF AN INJURY OCCURS

(Minor)  There will be First Aid equipment and supplies available for the camp staff to treat all minor injuries.
(Major)  Parents will be informed of any major injury as soon as they occur.  First Aid will be available and the Camp Director and Staff will follow the appropriate procedures for any medical assistance necessary.
